Welcome! I’m Alaina Smith, a 2D cel animator and character designer currently based in Detroit. In 2023 I graduated from the College for Creative Studies with a BFA in animation. I have since gone on to work for First Fight as a freelance animator on a couple of their projects.
What I love most about my craft is the ability to spark imagination and bring characters to life. Over the last few years, I've had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects; From a whimsical pitch for a children's cartoon, to a chilling collaborative short film about...a worm?
When I'm not hunched over a drawing tablet of some kind you can also find me curled up with a good book, cuddling with my cat, Howl, or baking brownies!
